Hotel

As the designated conference hotel, Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre has reserved a block of rooms at a group rate of $179.00 plus 14% taxes per night, single or double room for November 18-November 21, 2007. Triple and quad occupancy is an additional $20.00 per day per person. This conference room rate will be subject to availability at the time of reservation.

Please reserve your accommodations by October 28, 2007 by contacting Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre toll free at 1-800-905-0667 or directly at (416) 597-9200 and quoting the group name “OPHA”. Reservation requests received after October 28, 2007 will be at the hotel’s prevailing rate based on availability. Guaranteed reservations may be cancelled by 6:00 p.m. the day of arrival without incurring a cancellation charge. Please inform the hotel of any special room needs. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

Please note: In order to meet the hotel’s revenue requirements with regard to hosting our event, we have contracted with Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre to use a prescribed number of guest rooms. Please assist us in meeting our contractual obligation to the hotel by staying at Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre.

The hotel is located at 525 Bay Street in Toronto, Ontario. Depending on your mode of transportation, directions have been provided below.

Driving

From East: Take 401 West to Don Valley Parkway. Once on Don Valley Parkway, take Downtown/Richmond Street exit. Take Richmond Street East ramp. Stay straight to go onto Richmond Street East. Turn right onto Bay Street. The hotel is on the right just north of Queen Street.

From North: Take Highway 400 South to Highway 401 West and then Highway 427 South. Take Gardiner Expressway East. Exit at Bay Street and go north. The hotel is on the right just north of Queen Street.

From West: Take Highway 401 East to Highway 427 South and then Gardiner Expressway East. Exit at Bay Street and go north. The hotel is on the right just north of Queen St

From Toronto Pearson International Airport: Take Highway 427 South to Gardiner Expressway East. Exit at Bay Street and go north. The hotel is on the right just north of Queen Street. Estimated taxi fare is $45.00 (one way).

Train

A special discounted fare of 10% is available to attendees of the OPHA 2007 Conference in either Comfort Class, VIA-1 or Sleeper, One-Way or Round Trip. Discounted fares are available between November 16 and 23, 2007 inclusive on any VIA Rail Canada System Wide to/from Toronto.

VIA Rail arrives at Union Station (located on Front Street). Taxis are available in front of the station. Those who are comfortable with Toronto’s transit system would take the subway north on the Yonge line, exit at Dundas station, walk west one block to Bay Street and then south one block to the hotel.
