Sponsorship Opportunities

There are three (3) ways to support this exciting event to be held at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre:

  1. General Conference Sponsor;
  2. Special Event Sponsor;
  3. In-Kind Contributions Sponsor.

1. General Conference Sponsor

Sponsoring the overall conference demonstrates your commitment to public health generally and helps us realize our goals, which are:

“To increase knowledge of innovative public health initiatives designed to increase the capacity of the public health workforce ie. Mentorship, orientation, professional development models, leadership development, succession planning. To broaden existing intersectoral and interdisciplinary opportunities for collaboration.”

The level of support you provide is matched with increasingly more attractive benefits, as you can see summarized in the Sponsor Benefits matrix [PDF]. The levels are:

Levels of Sponsorship
1. Premium $10,000 or more
2. Platinum $7,500 – $9,999
3. Gold $5,000 – $7,499
4. Silver $2,000 – $4,999
5. Bronze $1,000 – $1,999
6. Friends $999 or less

2.  Special Event Sponsor

  1. Opening Reception $3,000 (Silver) (one available)
    Delegates will mix and mingle at this first official event of the conference. When you sponsor this reception, your name will appear prominently in the room. Also, because this is listed at the Silver Level you will receive all of the benefits that accompany such a commitment. (See Sponsor Benefits)
  2. OPHA Awards Luncheon $8,000 (Platinum) (one available)
    This awards luncheon, hosted by the Ontario Public Health Association (OPHA), will be open to all conference delegates and will attract approximately 500 public health professionals including physicians, nurses, dentists and business executives. This is an opportunity to associate your business with a high profile event.
  3. Conference Luncheon $6,000 (Gold) (one available)
    This luncheon will be a seated lunch open to all 500 conference delegates. When you sponsor this luncheon your name will be prominently displayed on a sign outside the lunchroom. Also, because this is listed at the Gold Level you will receive all of the benefits that accompany such a commitment. (See Sponsor Benefits)
  4. 60th Anniversary Reception $6,000 (Gold) (one available)
    The 60th Anniversary’ Reception is the place where delegates have the opportunity to meet and network between different health units and professions. It is a social event open to all 500 conference delegates. When you sponsor this reception, your name will appear prominently in the room. Also, because this is listed at the Gold Level you will receive all of the benefits that accompany such a commitment. (See Sponsor Benefits)
  5. Refreshment Break $3,000 (Silver) (four available)
    The refreshment breaks will be an opportunity for all conference delegates to mingle, reflect and enjoy various snacks and refreshments between workshops. When you sponsor one of these events your name will appear in the food service area. Also, because this is listed at the Silver Level you will receive all of the benefits that accompany such a commitment. (See Sponsor Benefits)
  6. Award for Essay contest for Students (Friends) (two available)
    Provide an award for either the second or third place winners of the Essay Contest for Students of Public Health & Related Disciplines. When you sponsor this award you will have the opportunity to present the award to the student at the awards luncheon. Also, because this is listed at the Friends Level you will receive all of the benefits that accompany such a commitment. (See Sponsor Benefits)

3. In-Kind Contributions Sponsor

We welcome in-kind contributions and will publicly acknowledge the support of organizations who provide the following, including:

  • Printing
  • Decorations
  • Flowers
  • Door prizes
  • Promotional items for the sponsor table
  • any other agreed-upon service

Depending on the level of in-kind contributions, your organization may be eligible to receive benefits listed in the Sponsorship Benefits matrix. All in-kind contributions will be negotiated individually between conference planners and the organization.
