PHRED Student Research AwardOPHA is pleased to announce the recipient of the PHRED Student Research Award is Carolyn Hureau, B.Sc.Honours from University of Western Ontario. Caroline is pursuing a Masters' degree at the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen's University. She is interested in physical activity promotion, environmental factors associated with physical activity, and community-based participatory research. Carolyn is also keen to investigate the translation of knowledge from health research to practice. Currently, she is working in collaboration with Kingston Gets Active to increase physical activity levels among Grade 10 students in Kingston and surrounding areas. GoalTo recognize the work of graduate or undergraduate students in applied public health research and evaluation. Award AmountThe award recipient will receive $1,000.00, which will be presented at the OPHA Awards Luncheon. The recipient will be expected to give a presentation based on the paper submitted for the award during one of the conference concurrent sessions. Consistent with OPHA policy, the winning student will be responsible for travel costs and student conference registration fee. Student Award Process
